MLB Free Premium Play 08/05: Detroit Tigers @ Cleveland Indians

Detroit  at Cleveland
MLB - 907 Detroit Tigers @ 908 Cleveland Indians

(Starting Pitchers: A. Sanchez vs C. Kluber)

Tonight's game will be the first game of a series that should be great, as both teams are entering this series having won nine of their last ten games! Detroit will start Anibal Sanchez tonight and he allowed just one run last Tuesday in seven innings against the Nationals. This was a nice outing indeed, but he hasn't been the same dominant Sanchez after getting injured in June. He ended July with a 3.62 FIP and 4.59 xFIP, while he had a 15.2% K% in July, after a 30.6% in April, 31.0% in May and 27.9% in June! In fact, he had just one strikeout against Washington on his last start! Sanchez faced three poor offensive teams against RH pitchers on his last three games (Washington #17; White Sox #28; Kansas City 26#), but things will definitely be tougher for him at Cleveland tonight, especially with him showing no strikeout punch right now.

Corey Kluber will start for Cleveland and he is coming from four runs allowed in 8.2 innings against the White Sox last Wednesday. He has been one of the most consistent pitchers in the league lately, while being #23 in the league in K% (23.2%), #27 in BB% (5.5%) and #47 in ground-ball rate (45.7%)! This will be Kluber's fourth start against Detroit and curiously, he has been improving on these outings against the Tigers, as he allowed eight earned runs on his first start against them, then he allowed three earned runs on the second outing (with a 8/0 K/BB) and finally, he allowed two earned runs in the third game against them, while having a great control once again with a 10/3 K/BB ratio. With Miguel Cabrera banged up, Detroit's lineup loses a key piece and with the Indians having a small SP edge in here in my opinion, I see great value on Cleveland tonight as home underdogs.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 908 Cleveland Indians ML (w/ C. Kluber) @ +110 / 2.10 on 5Dimes
