NBA Premium Play 02/17: Charlotte Bobcats @ Toronto Raptors

NBA - 805 Charlotte Bobcats @ 806 Toronto Raptors

Projected lines: 191 points | Toronto by 10 points

***DOUBLE DIME PLAY***

Toronto has been finally playing on a faster pace lately, as looking at their roster, they will never play well on half court offense. There is no doubt that the Raptors are now playing faster, as in their last three games, they had double digits on fast break points with 11, 16 and 12! They are definately using more transition plays, as they shot 6-10 FG against the Lakers with 1.25 PPP and 12% volume, 8-10 FG against the Knicks with 1.54 PPP and 14% volume and in their last game against the Spurs, they shot 6-9 FG in transition, with 1.00 PPP and 14% volume! Besides that, the Raptors are now more assertive in attacking the basket with 67% FG at the rim and 50% FG from 3-9 feet in their last 5 games! For today, Bayless is probable, so the Raptors will have more scoring punch coming off the bench.

Looking at the recent improvements on the Raptors offense, I doubt the Bobcats can handle them. They are a horrible interior defensive team and a poor rebounding team, as for example in their last game at Minnesota, Love shot 11-21 FG and Pekovic 10-17 FG, with the Wolves scoring 54 points in the paint while shooting 23-34 FG at the rim! Offensively, the Bobcats have DJ Augustin back and he has already played 24 minutes in Minnesota. In their last game, the Bobcats made an effort to score fast and they had some success with 11-19 FG on transition plays that resulted in 19 fast break points. Their problem was the outside shooting, which was bad as usual with 8-28 FG from 16-23 feet and 7-18 3pts. Charlotte used both Walker and DJ on the court at the same time for a while, in a clear undersized backcourt.

I see too many edges for Toronto's backcourt in here, with the size of DeRozan and considering at how the Raptors are currently living their best offensive moment of the season, even though they have been playing against top teams like Boston, the Lakers, the Knicks and San Antonio, I expect Toronto to have a great offensive game tonight, helping them in getting a blowout win over the Bobcats. So, I'll take Toronto in here. Looking at the low totals line and at how I expect the Raptors to have a great offensive game, with both teams trying to push up the pace and use a good volume of transition plays, I'll also take the over in here in a Double Dime Play!

Pick: 4 units (Double Dime Play) on 805/806 Over 184,5 @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 806 Toronto Raptors (-7) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
