Sacramento is coming from a game in Chicago last night, where it was all about offense. The game was super fast and with the Kings being aggressive, their offense was much more efficient than usual, getting 28 FT attempts in the process, 54 points in the paint, 19-31 FG at the rim and 5-16 FG from 3-9 feet! They also shot 8-12 FG in transition plays and their big three played well, with Cousins 37min 10-20 FG 28pts 17reb, Evans 42min 9-18 FG 27pts 8reb 8ast and Thornton 9-19 FG 23pts! On the other side, their defense, especially their interior defense was catastrophic! Chicago shot 19-27 FG at the rim! Their help defense was terrible and allowed the Bulls to shoot 10-17 FG on cuts!
So, I expect the Knicks to have an offensive edge down low on P&R's and bigs. Yesterday, they shot 14-30 FG at the rim against a defense who is allowing 58% FG at the rim this season, but tonight they will a team who is allowing 70% FG at the rim! The Knicks offense will pound the poor Kings defense tonight! However, Sacramento will be fired up today to play in the MSG in the middle of all this Linsanity! I expect the Kings to pound the Knicks poor interior defense, which can also be easily exposed, as shown yesterday, with the Raptors shooting 22-27 FG at the rim! Also the Knicks have a poor transition defense and the Kings are coming from a good game on this area. Besides that, Evans has a size edge over Lin and he will be with his mindset focused on attacking the rim! Sacramento played with small ball yesterday, as coach Smart went
almost exclusively with Evans at small forward and Isaiah Thomas and Marcus Thornton in the backcourt. I see this game to be a very good offensive game for both teams and therefore, I'll take the over in here. I expect a close game, so I'll take the Kings in here as well.
