Amare is probable for tonight, so we'll have a 1st look on P&R plays between Lin and Amare. The Knicks will be even more dangerous on the pick n rolls and they have currently a good offensive dynamic. At Minnesota, they shot just 3-15 FG on P&R ball handler and 3-8 FG on roll man, but they compensated that with 7-13 FG on spot ups and 8-14 FG in transition! Already against the Lakers, they shot 7-18 FG 0.81 PPP on P&R ball handler and 3-3 FG 1.14 PPP on roll man! Lin was dead tired at Minnesota after having played a lot of minutes, but he should be rested for tonight. Now they'll face Toronto, who is just #25 on defending P&R ball handler with 0.85 PPP allowed! Calderon is slow, they play without shot blockers and their big man doesn't offer a lot of help.
On the other side, Toronto's offense has been using a 3-guards lineup, but the Knicks have been playing a good perimeter defense without Melo! The Raptors were 2-0 ATS on their last 2 games against a dead tired Boston and against Lakers, who had no flow on offense! Early on the season, Toronto won at New York, but without Amare out and Harrellson & Toney were starters. The result of that was just 14 assists for the Knicks, while Bargnani had a great game with 7-13 FG and he's out for tonight. The Knicks are on a roll right now and against a good matchup for them like the Raptors, I expect them to pick up an easy win tonight. So, I'm taking the Knicks tonight.
