NBA - 505 New York Knicks @ 506 Houston Rockets

The Knicks are coming from a game in Miami last night, where as a team,
they hit 18 of 43 threes, while hitting 12 of 41 two-pointers! Some of
those 3pts, including made ones, were incredibly forced, but a lot of
them came off from actual crisp ball movement plays and good, open
looks, especially in the first half! Amare continued to struggle in
getting easy touches rolling to the rim, but he still managed a few nice
elbow jumpers and tough inside shots in the second half. I expect the
Knicks to have today at Houston the same mindset and eventually, Amare
will get better looks than he had last night at Miami, as the Heat has
the #1 rim defense in the league!
On the other side, Houston will take advantage of the usual turnover
problems from the Knicks and score in transition. The Rockets had an
easy home win against the Wizards last night, even with a bad game from
Lowry, with 1-7 FG! Houston struggled with 1-9 FG on P&R Ball
Handler plays, but they did quite well on transition, offensive
rebounds, cuts and spot up plays! With a better game from the backcourt
and with with Kevin Martin back, I expect the Rockets offense to do a
lot of damage today! The Rockets guards rotation is much better than the
Knicks' backcourt rotation, who is lacking depth and who is on a tough
spot for tonight!
The pace of this game will surely be high, considering the last few
games of both teams and even though the Knicks will their kamikaze style
will make some treys, they will also give a lot of chances to the
Rockets to score on transition plays, something Houston will do with
ease, with Lowry coordinating the well balanced offense of the Rockets.
Therefore, I expect a comfortable win for Houston tonight, in a game
where the pace will be high and where both teams will at least get some
offense production. So, I will take both Houston and the over in here.
