Minnesota is carrying a
lot of momentum after their last night's upset road win at LA against
the Clippers. The Wolves are 3-0 on their last 3 games and they are also
a tough matchup for Utah, so the current line seems too big for this
contest, as the Jazz aren't good enough to deserve such high line. The
Wolves had played a back to back to back spot, then had 2 days off,
before playing at New Orleans, where Rubio played 44min, Ridnour 40min
and Love 42min. After that, they played a back to back game at Atlanta,
on a terrible spot for them, and they almost won the game.
The Wolves are a tough matchup for the Jazz and Millsap won't have
an easy game tonight, as he will struggle to go head to head against
Love and also Darko will be a problem to Big Al due to Milicic's size
advantage. Minnesota will also have a big edge in the PG position with
Rubio against Harris, who has been struggling with a stomach flu.
Minnesota's defense is very underrated and I believe they can handle
the frontcourt of Utah in a very decent way, as allowing just 63% FG at
the rim is a good mark for a team like the Wolves. Already last night,
they allowed the Clippers to shoot just 10-17 FG at the rim and 0-6 FG
from 4-9 feet!
I expect the in-form Wolves to make this game really close, as they
are a tough matchup for the Jazz, due to their size advantage in the
frontcourt and their superiority in the PG position. Therefore, I'll
take Minnesota tonight!
