The Celtics will be playing tonight without their starting backcourt, Rajon Rondo and Ray Allen, and three other players, including Chris Wilcox and former Magic players Keyon Dooling and Mickael Pietrus. With or without Rondo, Boston actually continues to struggle on the offensive end, which should be expected with their mounting injuries. They posted an effective field goal percentage of 43.6% in the game between these two teams in Boston, something that they will struggle to repeat and so, I believe they won't be able to get close from the 87 points scored in the other game. In fact, I believe they won't even score 80 points tonight!
In that game, Jameer Nelson was dominated by second-year guard Avery Bradley, with that Nelson committed 5 TO's and Orlando as a team had 25 TO's, which originated 24 points off turnovers from Boston. In fact, Boston had 8-12 FG in transitions and 19-19 FT! I just don't believe they will have similar ultra efficient numbers for tonight and! By being physical in the frontcourt, Boston had good games from Garnett and Bass, but tonight Î expect a physical reaction from Orlando, starting with Dwight Howard! The intimidation helped the Celtics, as Orlando shot 1-15 FG on post up plays! Boston's plan was to be physical against Howard all night long, as their perimeter wasn't on. Orlando finished the game with 5-18 FG from 16-23 feet and 4-16 3pts! For tonight, we can expect a similar approach from them, but Orlando's perimeter will be more aggressive. Without Jermaine, Boston has a thin froncourt with just Garnett, Bass and Stiemsma, so I expect a Howard domination for tonight. I believe Orlando will return the favor tonight and they will blowout the Celtics, while locking down their offense tonight. So, I'll take both Orlando and the under in here.
