***DOUBLE DIME PLAY - SPLIT THE WAGER***

The Nets are coming from a great win at Philadelphia, where they were able to limit the Sixers offense: the man defense looked as solid as it’s been all season. When the Sixers weren’t running looks off screens and forcing the Nets to make second-level decisions, they stuck to their assignments, ran down the clock, and forced bad shots. Particularly, the Nets (outside of Humphries attacking the glass) were particularly adept at getting back in transition against a superior athletic team; the Nets locked up the lane and forced a fast team to function exclusively in the halfcourt. They were also able to dominate the Sixers on the offensive rebounds and that limited the fast break chances of Philadelphia, who scored just 5 fast break points, with 3-7 FG on transition plays! Philadelphia made it to the half time shooting 50% FG, but it was already evident that they didn't have any offensive flow. On the other side, I liked how the Nets played on offense, with roles and plays very well defined! It's a shame that they failed so many easy shots, with Okur very poor on both ends of the floor! New Jersey had a high volume of 3pts as always, with 12-27 3pts and also 8-25 FG from 16-23 feet, with them having a lot of open looks! Down the stretch, Deron Williams dominated!

The Nets have been having some problems against athletic teams because their frontcourt isn't very athletic, but that won't happen against the Nets! Deron is playing very well on offense with their P&R's working really well right now! New Jersey is #8 on this kind of plays with 0.84 PPP! Cleveland doesn't have a good perimeter defense, as in fact that are dead last in defending P&R Ball Handler by allowing 0.87 PPP! The Nets are dominating the boards lately, with an offensive rebound rate of 32.68% on their last 5 games and I believe they will have the edge on this area against the Cavs once again today!

Cleveland has been having a lot of problems with turnovers lately with 25, 15, 20, 22 and 19 turnovers on their last 5 games! Cleveland might have some edge in transitions against New Jersey's defense, but the Nets defense are improving a lot on this area lately! Cleveland is 1-0 against New Jersey this season with a 99-82 blowout on 01/01! New Jersey was winning at half time by 49-43, but the Cavs then went on a 55-33 2nd half run! However, note that the Nets were on a busy schedule around that time, as it was their 5th game in 7 days, with Humphries having just 5 rebounds in that game, showing lack of energy. But today, the scenario is completely different. I believe the Nets are the better team now and therefore, I'll take them in here on a Double Dime Play! Split the wager. Looking at the Nets recent offensive improvements and the Cavs edge on transitions, I came up with a projection of 193 points and therefore, I'll take the over in here as well.
