Utah needs to win tonight to have a shot of reaching the playoffs, but they need to win tonight and wait for the Rockets to beat the Lakers later tonight. Therefore, there is a clear motivation edge for the Jazz tonight, as Memphis has very little chances of getting homecourt edge, as I don't believe the Grizzlies are expecting that the Clippers and the Nuggets lose their games tonight against the Kings and the Suns respectively. Therefore, I expect Memphis to do in here exactly what they did at Memphis: prepare for the playoffs. In that game at Dallas, nobody played more than 24 minutes and in fact, they even signed Donte Greene and Willie Reed today in order to play them tonight instead of their starters.
On the other hand, I expect Utah to use their best players at heavy dosage, as this is a must-win situation for them. The Jazz's frontcourt wouldn't have a frontcourt edge against Marc Gasol and Zach Randolph, but they will have a clear edge over the Grizzlies's second unit. I expect at least a tight game in here, therefore I see a lot of value on Utah tonight.
