It looks like the Celtics are “officially” in a “tanking mission” because they have lost their L2 games vs. Lakers and vs. Magic w/ some questionable “play” down the stretch in both games. Rajon Rondo returned to action and played 19 & 21 minutes in those games…curiously, Avery Bradley was simply horrible in both games: 5-20 FG in just 29 minutes vs. LAL & 7-21 FG in 38 minutes vs. ORL – a combined 12-41 FG mark! On the other side, it is strange to see a lowly team playing w/ 7-players rotation like ORL is doing right now. Nelson logged 40 minutes, Afflalo 44 minutes and Oladipo played 39 minutes while J. Vaughn decided to not play some of ORL’s young players. With both teams struggling to hit their outside shots (ORL 4-15 3pts vs. BOS 3-13 3pts), the X factor of the game was the superior ability of the Magic to score down low: 38 vs. 28 points in the paint.
