NBA Premium Play 05/10: Chicago Bulls @ Philadelphia 76ers

NBA - 729 Chicago Bulls @ 730 Philadelphia 76ers

Projected line: 167 points | PK LINE

On my Under play for game 5 I’ve said that the Bulls defense did a terrific job in slowing down the 76ers perimeter players and only a high volume of FT’s and a red hot Spencer Hawes hurt them on the defensive end in G4. They didn’t disappoint us in G5 as well: Turner 2-7FG; Iguodala 4-19FG; Holiday 5-17FG and Louis 4-10FG! This time the 76ers had “just” 24 free throws and Hawes had a “regular game” – that was enough for 69 points from the 76ers!

Coach Thibodeau was so focused in defense that Korver played only 6 minutes which was “weird” since the Bulls are offensively challenged. Note that he also preferred playing Brewer instead of Richard Hamilton – another pattern of Thibodeau’s preference to win games via defense! Don’t think that the formula will change for tonight…

The 76ers shot only 8-25 FG at the rim and once again Elton Brand isn’t showing up on the offensive end – he attempted only two shots the rim! Boozer isn’t hurting the team that much on the defensive end as it would be expected and the fact that he will play major minutes tonight isn’t problematic in my point of view. Boozer is having a clear edge vs. Brand in this series!

All the media is talking about the pressure for the Bulls to win tonight but few is taking notice that they are the youngest team in the playoffs and playing at home & being the clear favorite vs. Chicago can work against them in a psychology standpoint.
