NBA Premium Play 05/08: Philadelphia 76ers @ Chicago Bulls

NBA - 719 Philadelphia 76ers @ 720 Chicago Bulls

Projected line: 168 Points | Chicago by 8 Points

I've just watched game 4 of this series and both defenses were absolutely fantastic! The Sixers crushed the Bulls in transition in game 2 but the Bulls did a good job in the next two days in eliminating this facet of the Sixers offense!

They also did a great job in slowing down the Sixers’ perimeter players. Note that Holiday, Iguodala, Williams and Turner combined to shot 17-56 from the field in the last game – just 30%! Two factors burned the Bulls defensively: 1) Hawes was red hot including shooting 5-5 FG from 16-23 feet, we are talking a guy that during the regular season had a low’s 40% FG mark from that area and; 2) the Sixers had 31 free throws vs. 14 from the Bulls!

This is game 5 and historically, home teams perform pretty well in this spot, I have a nice trend saying that home favorite teams After Losing + Going Under + On The Road 2 Games are 30-14 ATS in the next game since 1990! We can expect the referees to allow the Bulls to be more physical tonight and the 76ers without the free throws edge will heavily struggle tonight on the offensive end.

Having said that, I don’t think that the Bulls are primed to have an offensive explosion because their lack of talent on the offensive end is pretty clear and the 76ers defense has been great. However they are moving the ball nicely with 22 and 21 assists L2 games vs. 13 and 16 assists from the 76ers and I expect them to dominate the glass and for the first time in this series to have a slight edge on the free throws department.
