NFL Week 13 Premium Play 12/02: New Orleans Saints @ Seattle Seahawks

NFL Week 13 - 449 New Orleans Saints @ 450 Seattle Seahawks

Play #1

I know the tough weather conditions will favor Seattle tonight, but I still believe the Saints will make this game at least quite close. The Seahawks' offense is built around pounding the ball with RB Marshawn Lynch and it is undeniable that Lynch and the Seahawks will have the edge over the Saints' run defense that is just #29 in the league with 4.8 rushing yards allowed per carry. However, New Orleans's pass defense has been great this season for their traditional level and their pass rush has been really good. The Saints have a quick and athletic defense, so I don't believe Russell Wilson will have an easy game tonight, something that will put more pressure on Marshawn Lynch to carry his team on his shoulders. I'm sure he will make a couple of nice plays tonight, but I don't think he will blowout the Saints on his own.

As much as Seattle's pass defense is the best in the league and Drew Brees won't be on a dome tonight, the Saints' passing game is still very good and they will certainly make a couple of big plays tonight by exploring some nice matchups that they will have deep in the field, as Seattle is currently thin on depth at the CB position. However, it's on the running game that the Saints can make a clear damage on Seattle's defense. Not only the Saints' running game is starting to show up in good form over their last few games, as Seattle is just #20 in the league with 4.2 rushing yards allowed per carry. With Seattle paying a lot of attention on Drew Brees and the rest of the Saints' passing game, I wouldn't be surprised if New Orleans actually has a very interesting game on running the football tonight. I understand that Seattle has a slightly better spot for tonight (even though both teams are very well rested) and they have the tough home court advantage in here, but the Saints are generally always ready for prime time football and I don't think tonight will be different. Therefore, I expect a very close game and so, I'll be taking the Saints tonight.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 449 New Orleans Saints (+6,5) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
