Spanish Soccer Liga BBVA Play - Almeria @ Atletico Madrid

Liga BBVA - Almeria @ Atletico Madrid

I believe we have some great value on the underdogs in here on a potential tight game. Atletico Madrid entered the new season very well with three wins on the first three rounds of the Spanish league: 3-1 @Sevilla, 5-0 vs Rayo Vallecano, 2-1 @Real Sociedad. They don't have the same talent on their roster as Barcelona or Real Madrid, but thanks to the personality of their head coach Diego Simeone, they compensate that with their incredible work rate and great defensive discipline. However, their spot for today's game isn't good as they will start their Champions League campaign next Wednesday with a key game against Zenit St. Petersburg. This will be the first time since 2009 that Atletico will be in the Champions League and most of their players will make their CL debut on next Wednesday's game. Therefore, it's normal that they won't be totally focused in today's game where they'll face a recently promoted team. So, I expect them to get into time-management mode after they get the lead today.

On the other side, Almeria is yet to win a game this season, with two draws and one loss in three games. However, they had the lead in all their three games at some point! They have some good offensive ability, with their weakest link being on defense. But with Atletico's mindset for today, I believe Almeria will score at least one goal today, keeping this game close in the process. I believe the correct line for this game would be a -1.25 AH, so with us being ability to grab Almeria at AH +1.75, I see great value in taking the underdog on the handicap on this contest. Therefore, I'll be taking Almeria in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on Almeria (+1.75) @ -124 / 1.80 on Betonline
