NFL Premium Play 09/15: Cleveland Browns @ Baltimore Ravens

NFL Week 2 - 197 Cleveland Browns @ 198 Baltimore Ravens

Projected Line: 40 points

***DOUBLE DIME PLAY***
Baltimore's offense had some issues at Denver, mostly because of their lack of receiving threats for Joe Flacco, now that Anquan Boldin is in San Francisco, while Dennis Pitta and Jacoby Jones are injured. The Ravens' top receiving threat is Torrey Smith, but with him being basically the only good receiver that Baltimore has on the field right now, Baltimore's passing game quickly gets too one-dimensional. Besides that, teams with a good CB can always stop Smith and with that severely damage the Ravens' passing game. This is the case of Cleveland, who has in Joe Haden a great CB ready to guard Torrey Smith and with that stop Baltimore's offense today. On the running game, Ray Rice hasn't been able to find good looks to have some big plays and against a decent defense like the Browns, I expect that to happen once again.

On the other side, Baltimore's defense is coming from a humiliation at Denver. The frustration of Baltimore's defenders at the end of that game was pretty clear in the voice of the DT Chris Canty

"It was tough being a punchline on the countdown shows and morning shows." Chris Canty said. "I think our guys really work well together [and] like each other. It’s a great room." he said. "It didn’t have anything to do with that. We did not execute, whether it was technique or a missed tackle. In preseason, I said one of the things I felt best about coming out of the preseason as the way that we tackled. And we didn’t tackle as well in this game."

Baltimore did a fine job in the pass rush last week, but they struggled on the secondary. However, let's not forget that they were facing Peyton Manning and a good receiving corps, while they will be facing Brandon Weeden today, who struggled a lot against Miami last week. Therefore, I believe Baltimore's pass defense will do a much better job today, while they should be able to do a decent job at stopping Trent Richardson's running plays as well. I believe this game will be a quite physical one, as most divisional games on this division generally are, with both teams having some issues on offense. Therefore, I expect this game to be a low scoring one and so, I'll be taking the Under in here on a Double Dime Play!

Pick: 4 units (Double Dime Play) on 197/198 Under 44 @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
