Southampton @ Liverpool

Liverpool was finally unable to win a game last week, even though Daniel Sturridge scored once again. Coach Rodgers started Victor Moses and Liverpool was more offensive than usual, with Moses becoming the Man of the Match! The 2-2 draw wasn't a poor result for Liverpool, as Swansea is a really good team and they showed that on Thursday by defeating Valencia in Spain by 3-0 on an Europa League game! The bad news for Liverpool is that Philippe Coutinho will be out until the end of October with a shoulder injury. He has been essential on Liverpool's formation this season due to the special chemistry that he has with Daniel Sturridge. Luis Suarez is still suspended for one more game, so Liverpool will have to somehow survive on offense on this game without some key pieces.
After winning their first game of the season at WBA, Southampton is now on a streak of three games without a win. Last week, on their home game against West Ham, they created some scoring chances during the second half, but West Ham's goalkeeper Jussi Jääskeläinen was simply superb! Southampton's offensive potential is good with Lambert and Osvaldo, but it looks like they'll need some time to gel. Also note that Southampton had always more than 50% of ball possession on their first four games of the season, but they faced WBA, Sunderland, Norwich and West Ham.
As I expect Liverpool to struggle on offense in here, as they will be without Coutinho to face a good Southampton defense, I believe this game to be quite tough for the home team. Southampton is a quite solid team and they have a great spot in here to cause a small surprise. Therefore, I'll be taking them in here on an excellent AH +1 line.
