Aston Villa collected their third loss in a row in the EPL, this time against Newcastle in a game where they were for the first time favorites this season. They are really designed to be a counter-attacking team that struggles then they have to assume the game. They had 55% of ball possession against Newcastle, but that was good enough to produce just 10 total shots and only one(|) shot on target, while Newcastle outplayed them with 17 total shots, including eight shots on target! The good news is that Aston Villa will play on the road this weekend, something that really fits their style better.
Norwich City is coming from a 0-2 loss at Tottenham, where they were completely outplayed by the Spurs. They have been struggling a lot on offense, after having scored two goals against Everton on their first game of the season. Since that game, they scored just one goal in the following three games, so I expect Villa's defense to stop them well in here. Norwich's corner backs are known for being quite attacking to leave a lot of space on defense, especially the Right Back Steven Whittaker, something that fits well in Aston Villa's style, who loves to have space on the wings, their biggest strength together with having Benteke as their striker.
I really don't see why Norwich should have 42% chances of winning this game, with Aston Villa getting just 31% chances: no way! Obviously the oddmakers are forced to make a +0.25 AH line to Villa in here, so we are getting a decent price on them to take Villa in here.
