Projected Line: 45 points
I believe tonight's game will be a much lower scoring affair than last year's playoff game between these two teams was. We know that where Peyton Manning plays, that team will have a great pass offense, however I expect the renewed Ravens defense to show tonight that they will be a quality unit this season, even without Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. Denver's running game is still quite undefined in terms of RB's rotation, while Dan Koppen's season-ending injury was a big blow for Denver's offensive line.
On the other side, Joe Flacco was amazing in the playoffs, but I expect him to have a much worse performance tonight, especially now that he won't have Anquan Boldin and Dennis Pitta on the field with him tonight. Baltimore's receiving corps doesn't impress anybody and I believe Flacco will struggle tonight. I also expect Ray Rice to have some problems as well, considering how poor the Ravens OL was during the preseason in terms of run-blocking. A lot has been said about Denver's defense without Von Miller and Champ Bailey, but the Broncos defense has decent depth and a lot of quality defenders, therefore I believe they will do a good job tonight against Baltimore's offense.
I expect tonight's game to disappoint the fans of high scoring games, with both teams showcasing some issues on offense, so I'll be taking the Under in here.
