Atletico Madrid @ Valladolid

Atletico Madrid is coming from a competitive game against Zenit St. Petersburg last Wednesday for the Champions League and so, on a short rest spot today, I expect them to have a bit of a letdown and this is why the ML's odds for them are so "high". Unlike Barcelona and Real Madrid, Atletico doesn't have a lot of individual talent that can solve games on their own. They have been showing an incredible work rate and excellence while not having the ball in their possession, as in fact they only had more than 50% of ball possession in one of their four games played for the Spanish league so far. With them being on a poor physical spot tonight, I don't believe that they will be fresh enough to put pressure on the ball carrier and so, they will have less scoring chances than usual in here.
On the other hand, I expect Atletico to have another good defensive game, as Valladolid has been struggling to create scoring chances this season, let alone scoring goals, with just three goals in four games, even though they faced two lowly teams on their last two games. Therefore, I expect them to be an easy opponent for Atletico's defense. Valladolid will use a very defensive formation today because they'll be facing a top team, something that will make Atletico to struggle on creating scoring chances tonight. It has been confirmed that Atletico's coach will make some changes on the lineup tonight and this will make them lose some of their good offensive flow. Therefore, I expect a low scoring game in here and so, I'll be taking the Under on this contest.
