NFL Week 2 - 215 Detroit Lions @ 216 Arizona Cardinals
Projected Line: Arizona by 3 points
The only reason why Arizona isn't being favored on this game is because they are 1-11 on their last 12 games. The Cardinals are just a terrible matchup for the Lions in my opinion. Arizona has one of the best defenses in the league, especially their pass defense, who will certainly give Matthew Stafford a tough time today. On the other hand, Detroit's RB Reggie Bush is currently nursing three different injuries and he should also struggle today. Even though Detroit will eventually get a couple of decent passing plays today, I also believe Stafford will eventually turn the ball over against a very opportunistic and competent Arizona's secondary.

On the other hand, Arizona's offense is revamped for the new season with their first decent QB since Kurt Warner in Carson Palmer. The Cardinals played well at St Louis and Larry Fitzgerald has woken up to dominate a good Rams defense, now that he has a decent QB feeding him the ball at last. Detroit's defense is quite unimpressive, especially their secondary and I don't believe there's anybody in that secondary that can stop Fitzgerald today. On the other side, Arizona's poor OL won't be a lot pressured today by a Detroit's pass rush that hasn't been any impressive over the last two seasons. Arizona is a much steadier team than Detroit, with a much better defense, and now that they have a quality QB in Carson Palmer, I believe they will start winning this kind of home games once again. Therefore, I'll be taking the Cardinals in here.
