NBA - 709 Oklahoma City Thunder @ 710 New Orleans Hornets
Projected line: 188 points
Oklahoma
City is coming from a tough win yesterday at Memphis. Westbrook had a
great game with 12-20 FG 30pts and just 2 turnovers, while Durant
struggled against a good defense of Memphis: 7-20 FG! Just these two
players were on the court for more than 30 minutes! Harden also
struggled with just 2-8 FG! Memphis' defense did exactly what I expected
for them and the Thunder's offense was slowed down yesterday. Today,
Oklahoma City has a bad spot, but not as bad as most people would think,
in my opinion. New Orleans' perimeter defense can't be compared to the
great aggressiveness of Memphis' defense, especially with Ariza out, so
both Durant and Harder will have a bounce back game tonight.
On the other side, the Hornets had a solid game at Denver behind
their frontline, with Kaman shooting 10-16 and Landry 8-15 FG. The
Thunder's interior defense isn't an elite squad, as they are allowing
63% FG at the rim and they are just #20 in the league in post up
defense! Therefore, I expect the Hornets to exploit the interior
problems of the Thunder to have a decent offensive night as well! My
projections came up with a totals line of 188 points and so, I'll be
taking the over in here.
