NBA Premium Play 12/31: Utah Jazz @ San Antonio Spurs

NBA - 511 Utah Jazz @ 512 San Antonio Spurs

Projected line: 199 points
San Antonio is coming from a no show at Houston on a bad back to back spot and it's curious that they scored 56 points in the paint, but scored just a total of 85 points! Their problems were clearly on the outside, where they shot 3-12 FG from 16-23 feet and 2-17 on the 3pts line! This was why they lost! Their good ball movement allowed them to shoot 24-35 FG at the rim, but without their perimeter game, they didn't stand a chance! Now with 1 day off to rest, I hope their legs to be fresh again because if they are, they won't have any kind of problems in scoring against Utah!

As I've previously said, the Jazz are a bad defensive team in transition and yesterday Philadelphia scored 20 fast break points against them! Now against a well oiled offensive machine with a great ball movement, San Antonio will pound Utah's defense tonight! Utah has a defensive efficiency of 113 (one of the 3 worst teams in the league) and the Spurs will simply burn them inside out! So, the main question is to know if Utah will score some points as well or not. Al Jefferson is out and this are actually good news for Utah in my opinion, as Derrick Favors and Paul Millsap are better players and athletes, and Utah needs desperately to run! In their game against the Lakers, Utah wanted to play a slow paced game by using Big Al down low and he went 2-16 FG!

On a potential blowout win for San Antonio, Utah's second units has still some firepower with Josh Howard, CJ Miles and Earl Watson and these three guys really love to push up the pace! Therefore, I have a projection of 199 points for this game and therefore, I'll be taking the over in here.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 511/512 Over 194,5 @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
