First
of all, this is a terrible spot for the Spurs, as they will be playing
their 4th game in 5 days. They played a home game against Denver last
Saturday, then they played in the following day at Oklahoma City,
yesterday they played at Milwaukee and today they will face Houston at
home! Yesterday, Duncan and Parker played big minutes, something which
isn't quite normal and so, this really makes me put them on fade alert
for tonight. San Antonio is now very dependent from the perimeter and
yes, they ere deadly on mid-range last night with 6-9 FG from 3-9 feet,
10-13 FG from 10-15 feet and 13-24 FG from 16-23 feet! However, on this
bad spot, they won't likely have legs to hit those long shots tonight!
On the other side, Houston is also coming from a back to back spot
with their backcourt playing big minutes. However, the Rockets had two
days off to rest before last night's game at Charlotte and we are
talking about a relatively fresh young team against a veteran tired
team! San Antonio will be without TJ Ford tonight and the Spurs have now
just Tony Parker as a pure PG available for tonight, while Houston has
both Lowry and Dragic in good form and ready to take advantage from the
Spurs problems at this position! Looking at the spot and the struggles
of the Spurs with injuries, I expect this game to be quite tight, as
Houston has surely some edges for tonight, especially in terms of
physical condition and depth! Therefore, I'll take the Rockets tonight.
