I think we have some value w/ Leicester City in this contest as long this +0.25 AH line remains available at decent odds.

Leicester could be a pleasant surprise in this Premier League after dominating the Championship in the last season w/ 102 points. They have a dynamic head coach in Nigel Pearson and they are coming for this season after finishing unbeaten in the pre-season. I’ve saw a large highlight of their game against the Germans’ Werder Bremen, and they looked pretty solid while winning the game 1-0.

They will face the good team of the Everton that is unfortunately dealing w/ today’s breaking news of the injury of Ross Barkley. Barkley is one of their best players and a key piece of Martinez’s system for this upcoming season. Also, Everton’s pre-season wasn’t particularly exciting at all.

I feel that Everton is a bit overrated in this contest while being clearly favored to win on the road and therefore, I’m taking the home team to be super competitive in here.

Stoke City is primed to enjoy a successful season this year as I rate them as one of the best teams in England after the “big 7” club. Mark Hughes did a terrific job in the last season in installing a more “appellative” system for the team, and he should keep the team playing in the same way.

They made some smart signings in this off-season IMO w/ Bojan Krkic being the only intriguing one. Krkic undoubtedly has the talent, but he has failed to impress in these last 2 seasons after an explosive start of career in Barcelona. Well, he looked just great in the pre-season by scoring some goals and making the difference in the final third of the field!

I expect Stoke City to have no problems in defeating an Aston Villa side that will struggle since the start to remain competitive. Appointing Roy Keane as an assistant of Paul Lambert seems odd to me – I wouldn’t be surprised if Lambert is sacked and Keane takes his place. Villa is without their two best forwards in Betenke and Libor Kozák, so the lack of firepower is well noticed right now.

Stoke City has one of the best home records of the league in the last seasons, and I expect them to confirm such status in this contest!

Soccer English Premier League - W.B.A vs Sunderland

Right now, I consider Sunderland the strongest team in this matchup, so having the chance to get them @+0.25 is a valuable bet in my opinion.

WBA new manager Alan Irvine has a lot of work to do, especially on the defensive side, as he has signed a host of defenders in Joleon Lescott, Andre Wisdom, Sébastien Pocognoli, Chris Baird, Christian Gamboa and Jason Davidson! It will take some time for them to display the proper defensive consistency. I’ve watched their pre-season game against Portuguese’ giants FC Porto and they were completely outplayed w/ Porto playing at low tempo for the majority of the time.

On the other side, I think that Sunderland is way advanced in having the proper team chemistry when compared to WBA. Gustavo Poyet is looking to play the same style as last season when he did a terrific job for them. In their pre-season preparation, they made 2 games against Spanish team Betis Sevilla and Italy’s Udinese, and they showed some good stuff by winning both games.
