NBA - 507 New York Knicks @ 508 Sacramento Kings
Projected line: Sacramento by 3 points
Sacramento looked so poor defensively in terms of transition plays in their last game against Chicago that their coach spent the whole practice in the following day screaming that they needed to defend better! Well, this kind of effort will surely be good, considering the Knicks are now in town to face them tonight. The Knicks will be without Amare Stoudemire and that's a huge loss, considering the lack of depth the Knicks have on the frontcourt. So, a team who is already a perimeter team will be an even more perimeter-oriented team! We are talking about a team that has the following shooting distribution:
%Rim %Short %Mid %Long %3P
0.27 0.11 0.06 0.27 0.30
On the other side, Sacramento is coming from a bad taste loss against the Bulls, as they didn't play badly. Their problems were located on defending the transition plays with 33 fast break points allowed and super bad FT% with 20-34 FT! If it wasn't for these struggles and they would have been highly competitive on that game! I expect the Knicks to have huge problems tonight, considering Sacramento has a good matchup for today on the frontcourt where they should have a good off reb edge, as the Knicks frontcourt will only have Chandler, Walker, Balkman and Harrelson available! Sacramento's very quick wing players should also expose the Knicks poor perimeter defenders and team help! This was exactly how the Kings defeated the Lakers earlier in the week and for today, I expect Sacramento to use these edges to beat the Knicks, who are currently struggling both offensively and defensively! Take Sacramento in here.
Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 508 Sacramento Kings (+1) @ -110 / 1.91 on 5Dimes
