believe today we will have a special lockout day in the NBA, as in a
season with a regular schedule, we would never have 11 games being
played today. This makes that most teams will be playing an "extra game"
today and so, we have some teams in absolutely brutal physical spots!
This game is one of them, as both teams will be playing their 3rd game
in 4 nights, with back to back games that involved travelling both teams
as well! Boston is coming from a tough physical game against Chicago,
where Doc Rivers heavily used his starters, with all of them played at
least 33 minutes!
On the other hand, Indiana had a tough game at Toronto, where the
Pacers needed to perform a comeback and spent a lot of energy. In this
context of a game between two tired teams, the matchup favors a low
scoring contest. Indiana is an excellent defensive team that puts
pressure all over the court and Boston will struggle to score easy
shots. Note that last week, these two teams faced each other and Boston
scored just 74 points with just 15 FG made on 15 feet or closer to the
basket! The same can be said about Indiana, as they are one of the worst
shooting teams in the league and with this game being a half court one,
I expect Boston to handle Indiana's bad offensive flow. Therefore, I
came up with a projection of 175 points for this contest, low enough for
me to take the under in here in a Double Dime Play!
