This is a potential letdown spot for San Antonio. They played yesterday a super fast game against Denver, where both Duncan and Parker didn't play big minutes. However, San Antonio has already had a similar spot earlier in the season, after an easy win over the Clippers, but then they were crushed by 85-105 at Houston in the following game! Oklahoma City is on a back to back to back spot and after a very easy home game against Houston, they had a much tougher game at Houston this time: Durant played 35 minutes and Westbrook 40 minutes! Even though this is still a bad spot for OKC, the team has today a home game and the trips between OKC and HOU were short.
The Spurs have an excellent perimeter offense with 43% FG from 16-23 feet and 42% on 3pts! However, on a bad physical spot where they'll have no legs, the outside shooting is the first thing to suffer from the team's tiredness! This is why they shot 2-17 3pts at Houston when they were on a similar spot as tonight's spot.
Therefore, I believe that the athleticism of the Thunder will get the best out of the tired Spurs and enter this game with a lot more speed and offensive efficiency. San Antonio is coming from two home games where their 2nd unit was amazing! They were able to crush their opponents in the first quarter with a 31-17 vs DAL and 37-25 vs DEN! This time, I believe on the letdown spot and this will be especially visible immediately with the starters, so it's likely that the letdown starts on the 1st quarter, as all teams that were on a b2b2b spot previously started the game really well! Therefore, I will be taking Oklahoma City on the First Quarter in here. With both teams lacking fresh legs for tonight, I'll also be taking the under in here, as I believe that neither team will have the high levels of offensive efficiency that they are used to have.
