Soccer World Cup Play 06/18: Croatia vs. Cameroon

Soccer World Cup Play: Croatia vs. Cameroon

***TRIPLE DIME PLAY***

We've lost our first play of the Tournament w/ Croatia (+1.5) against Brazil in a real tough and undeserving way (Penalty that didn't exist and a late goal @ 92th minute). Croatia played quite well if we take in account that they were facing the #1 ranked team to win the World Cup.

On the other side, Cameroon looked terrible in their first game vs. Mexico. The "close" final score of 0-1 loss doesn't tell the whole story, as they were completely outplayed by Mexico! They could easily have lost the game by 2 or 3 goals of difference. Note that Mexico saw two “legal” goals being disallowed by the referee crew…

What really stick to me was how bad their defensive positioning was in that game… they played like they didn’t knew nothing about the way Mexico plays, strange considering how advanced scouting is in modern football. They were vulnerable especially on the wings and this will hurt them once again...

For this contest, Croatia’s best striker Mario Mandžukić returns after serving one-game suspension against Brazil. There were some doubts about Luka Modric’s availability for today, but Croatia’s NT coach Kovac declared Modric “100% fit to play”.

With him on the field, I expect both Modric and Rakitic to be the X Factor of the game. Both players have a tremendous court vision and will explore Cameroon’s lack of defensive discipline. We can expect both players to make some great through passes w/ Mandžukić waiting to convert in goals.

It looks like Samuel Eto’o is OUT for this contest and we are talking about Cameroon’s best player and leader on the field. They didn’t create many chances to score vs. Mexico and without Eto’o, I don’t think that this will change for this contest.

I have Croatia w/ 60~65% chances to win this contest so, we have some great value in here w/ them = TRIPLE Dime Play!
