Daily Message:
We are coming from a nice 4-0 SWEEP last night in which we’ve won our Double Dime Play w/ Under BKN/PHX. Our 3 sides plays were all “easy winners” and in our Top play, we benefited by the fact that the game was basically decided early on w/ the Nets crushing the Suns and so, the 4th quarter was a classic “garbage” low scoring quarter.
I expected the Suns to struggle on the perimeter vs. good ball pressure defense from the Nets and that was exactly what happened as PHX committed 17 TO’s and hit just 6-22 behind the line. However, I didn’t expect the Nets to score so easily last night… it was pretty remarkable that the Nets were shooting 67.5% FG in the first half! Almost 70%!!! Fortunately, as expected, the game was a relatively slow paced game and we cashed the Under play.
I will repeat myself from yesterday: “As I've "preaching" all season long: "It's a marathon, not a sprint"! There is about one month left in the regular season so we still have plenty of time to finish the season in a nice streak for the playoffs!”
