NBA Premium Play 03/28: Denver Nuggets @ Toronto Raptors

NBA - 507 Denver Nuggets @ 508 Toronto Raptors

Projected line: 197 points | Denver by 10 points

***DOUBLE DIME PLAY***

After a terrible game at Minnesota in the previous day, Denver completely dominated their game in Chicago against the Bulls! In In the third quarter, the Nuggets outscored the Bulls by 27-16, with Chicago not making a single field goal in the period until 7:14 remained. The Bulls were held to 5-of-16 from the field and had five turnovers.

"That was our best defensive quarter in a long time" Nuggets coach George Karl said. "Our energy to start the third has not been good generally. Tonight we accepted the criticism and played very well."

The Nuggets' recent starting lineup of Ty Lawson, Arron Afflalo, Wilson Chandler, Kenneth Faried, and JaVale McGee is a
very athletic lineup that pushes the pace, defended with an energy against the Bulls that hadn't been seen for weeks and controls the glass. The best aspect of that unit is the defense and the rebounding as witnessed against the Bulls!

Denver can't lose this kind of games if they want to make it to the playoffs, especially when Toronto offers a good matchup to the Nuggets today. Denver is once again being a good rebounding team in both ends of the floor and if Chicago's frontcourt had problems in this area, I'm not seeing Toronto doing much better today. Then, the matchup between Lawson and a tired Calderon who has been forced to play major minutes lately will be highly favorable to Denver, as Bayless is out and so there's still only Forbes available in the backcourt. Besides that, Bargnani will be abused down low by the rookie Faried and of course Toronto won't be able to play small, as Denver has been playing with a center on the field, either McGee or Mozgov.

Therefore, we will be having a team of athletes facing a shorthanded team who currently has three starters banged up: Calderon, Bargnani and DeRozan. I expect a very easy win for the Nuggets in here and therefore, I'll be taking them in here in a Double Dime Play! I'll be also taking the Under in here, considering Denver's good effort and hustle that will bring problems to a Raptors offense, who lacks options and especially imagination to be effective.

Pick: 4 units (Double Dime Play) on 507 Denver Nuggets (-4) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 507/508 Under 202,5 @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
