Washington is now having a much better ball movement and especially better floor spacing, as Nene is much better in doing that than McGee ever was! In their last game, five Wizards players scored double digits points and Washington is now playing on a run and gun style, as they've scored 24 fast break points in New Jersey, while shooting 10-19 FG in transition, with a volume of 23%! At the same time, the Wizards also did quite well on post ups, spot ups and cuts, even though with little volume. They're now a young team with every player showing good effort and especially playing with confidence.
On the other hand, Indiana is coming from a nice win against the Clippers, where the bench did very well and gave them the decisive edge: Barbosa 5-10 FG, Hill 6-7 FG and Hansbrough 7-10 FG. The perimeter did quite well, while the frontcourt gave a good fight to the Clippers frontcourt. I believe the Pacers will have some problems today, as Indiana's post up defense isn't great and Nene should have a good edge on this matchup. Collison is also struggling and Wall will simply outplay him during the whole game. Indiana will have an edge in terms of depth, but Washington is playing some good basketball and I expect them to be aggressive tonight and make this game quite competitive. Therefore, I'll be taking the Wizards tonight. Looking at the fast pace that this game will surely have and the fact that both teams will have some edges on offense, I'll be also taking the Over in here.
