NBA Free Premium Play 03/31: Indiana Pacers @ San Antonio Spurs

Indiana  at San Antonio

NBA - 811 Indiana Pacers @ 812 San Antonio Spurs

Projected line: 207 points

San Antonio has a good spot for today and they have been playing some great offense lately. Their depth is unbelievable, their playbook is excellent, as it is their ball movement and they have all the weapons to create havoc on the Pacers defense today. Their offense is so varied that it is very hard to defend them. Indiana has been having some defensive problems against good jump shooting teams, as I remember for example of an 111-113 loss against the Suns at home.

Offensively, Indiana has been playing well except in their last two games against the Nets and the Wizards. Against Washington, it was understandable, as it was a back to back game for them. The Pacers are coming from 5 straight games where they scored double digits fast break points, with an average of 12 FB points/game! The Spurs have a poor defense in transition plays and so, the Pacers will have some edge in here, especially when Barbosa is on the court. Indiana is also shooting well from the outside, as in their last 10 games, they have averaged 41% from 16-23 feet and 41% 3pts!

In a wide open game, Indiana should be able to have good offensive numbers, considering their red hot shooting, while their size in the frontcourt and especially with the aggressive way that they look for FT's may cause some damage to San Antonio, who generally makes a low number of fouls. On the other hand, San Antonio should have another huge offensive game, as their offense is almost unstoppable with the variety, depth and quality they have. So, I came up with a totals projection of 207 points for this game, high enough for me to take the Over in here.
