NBA Free Premium Play 03/22: Memphis Grizzlies @ Portland Trailblazers

Memphis   at Portland

NBA - 809 Memphis Grizzlies @ 810 Portland Trailblazers

Projected line: Memphis by 5 points

Memphis is coming from a road loss in Sacramento, where they allowed the Kings to shoot better than 60% FG in the first half and 53% FG in the whole game. It was a really poor effort from the Grizzlies defense, as their coach later stated:

“We got our butts kicked because we didn’t play hard and we didn’t play together,” Griz coach Lionel Hollins said. “We’ve got to compete and be committed to playing defense and committed to being focused.”

The Grizzlies struggled a bit offensively on that game, especially in the 4th quarter and by committing 14 turnovers, which the Kings took advantage to score 20 points off those turnovers. However, things should be much easier for Memphis tonight, as with Portland struggling so heavily in terms of ball handling (20 turnovers in their terrible home loss against the Bucks), the Grizzlies and their high pressuring defense will make the Blazers heavily struggle on this game. Besides that, Memphis will have a clear frontcourt edge, as now with Camby in Houston, Portland lacks a decent center to guard a quality center like Marc Gasol. The huge bench edge of the Grizzlies will also be a factor on this game. This is a clear bounce back spot for the Grizzlies tonight and they should be able to completely outplay the Blazers, who are clearly off sync right now. I'm taking the Grizzlies on this one.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 709 Memphis Grizzlies (-1) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
