Detroit is coming back home after a long road trip and so, the spot won't be very good, as they are coming from a game in Denver, where they lost by one point. They were outscored by 18-40 in the 1st quarter, but then they made a comeback just to lose at the end. The Pistons had a historic game with 14-18 3pts and Gordon with 9-9 3pts, while they also had some volume on the inside, with them being efficient on transitions with 12-17 FG, on spot ups with 8-14 FG and on P&R ball handlers with 7-12 FG. They won't have Stuckey for tonight and therefore, I expect a lot of problems for Detroit's backcourt, with Knight and Gordon being turnover prone, especially against the pressuring defense of the Heat. Detroit has been doing quite well in attacking the rim, but Miami's excellent rim defense will stop them, especially Monroe.
On the other side, Detroit has a terrible interior defense and a focused team of the Heat will absolutely crush them down low, especially with the Pistons on a bad spot. I expect Miami to have a very easy win today and so, I'll take them in here.
