Chicago should have lost last night against the Mystics as they were trailing by 5 points with just 40 seconds to go but the fact that they won the game only help us in here because we are catching the Sky in a terrible physical spot but riding a nice 2-games winning streak: - a perfect receipt for a letdown!
In fact, not only tonight’s game will be a back to back game for the Sky but also their 3rd game in 4 nights (trips: San Antonio-Chicago-Atlanta)! To make matters worse, the Sky doesn’t have depth on their roster. Against San Antonio, 3 of their starters played more than 33 minutes and last night, 4 starters logged at least 32 minutes! Their best 2 players Prince and Fowles scored 50 of the teams’ 65 total points – 77% of production! One of their best guards Vandersloot apparently was a bit ill and played only 18:48 after playing almost 30minutes against San Antonio. This is clearly a letdown spot for Chicago tonight regardless of what their opponent would be…
To play against Atlanta – one of the most energetic teams in the league, you have to be at your best physically and Chicago is not! Atlanta is an aggressive team that loves to push the tempo and score in transition and so far the Sky have allowed always double digits fast break points to their opponents – #2 worst w/13.5 FB pts per game allowed! Atlanta is also the best defensive team in the paint w/just 25 ppg in the paint allowed so they are capable of slowing down Sylvia Fowles!
I expect a blowout win from Atlanta tonight!
