NBA Premium Play 04/31

NBA - 517 Dallas Mavericks @ 518 San Antonio Spurs

Play #1

I’ve watched G4 this afternoon, and I think that Popovich made the right adjustments especially on the defensive end. Their lead at the break was a perfect picture of such terrific coaching job from Pop.

Two factors that changed the game @ 2nd half: 1) It was when DAL’s coach Carlisle played some small ball lineups, specifically w/ Dejuan Blair as @ center, that the Mavericks started their run. Blair played almost 14 minutes and had the terrific line of 5-5 FG for 12 points and 9 total rebounds!; 2) Tony Parker literally couldn’t do anything and Pop should have removed from the game earlier.

For this contest, Blair was suspended and so, the Mavericks just can’t “surprise” the Spurs anymore by playing “small ball”, and this can be truly important, because DAL scored only 28 points in the paint in the last game!

I think that Parker will play tonight but this time, if he struggles to be effective, I expect Popovich to use more Patty Mills. DAL’s bench has been a key factor in this series but in the last game, SAS’s 2nd unit showed finally some signs of life as Diaw, Mills and Ginobili finished all w/ decent numbers.

Popovich has finally figured out a way to slow down DAL’s offense and w/ a confident 2nd unit ready to make some damage, I expect SAS to finally have a complete game and win tonight’s contest by 9/10 points.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 518 San Antonio Spurs (-6.5) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
