NBA Free Premium Play 05/04: Brooklyn Nets @ Toronto Raptors

Brooklyn  at Toronto
NBA - 545 Brooklyn Nets @ 546 Toronto Raptors

Play #1 & #2

Jason Kidd made the smart decision in G6 to change BKN’s starting lineup by inserting A. Anderson in the place of S. Livingston. While Livingston is a better defensive player than Anderson, w/ Anderson on the floor, BKN showed a better floor spacing on the offensive end that prevented TOR to double JJ on the post the way they were doing prior to G6.

TOR’s offense has been a bit predictable as of late w/ the majority of the stuff being made by their guards – they are averaging just 17.8 assists per game in L5 games of this series. BKN’s defense is now focused in stopping TOR’s guards and they will be fine today…

Because Amir Johnson is really banged up, and Valanciunas is constantly in foul trouble, the Raptors just can’t take advantage of their superior size edge down low. The reb/rate% in the L3 games has been basically 50/50 in all games and actually, the Nets have scored more points in the paint than the Raptors! This will be in my opinion the biggest problem for the Raptors today – they are failing to capitalize their potential biggest edge in this matchup!

Obviously, I expect TOR to be more prepared on the defensive end vs. BKN’s small lineup than in the last game and that’s why I really like the Under in here as well.

Finally, note that both teams didn’t have a lot of “free” time to rest for this contest…w/ the Nets having a superior depth on the bench, I think that this will work favorably for them as well and so, my fair line for this contest is 50/50 spread line along w/ 185/186 total points!
