I believe the bad defensive transitions of Utah will be highly exposed again by the fast track offense of the Sixers tonight. In fact, Philadelphia's offense uses 17% of the plays in transition with a 1.28 PPP! They are also quite good on Cuts with 11.8% of volume and 1.52 PPP! Their problems have been in P&R Ball Handler and ISO plays, but they should be more than okay offensively tonight, considering Utah's defense in transition is horrible with 21.9% of volume and 1.30 PPP allowed and it isn't much better on Cuts with 8.80% of volume and 1.11 PPP! Basically the offensive strengths of the Sixers combine with the defensive struggles of the Jazz and therefore, I expect Philadelphia to have little problems in scoring tonight.
On the other side, I expect Utah to have some offensive edge on the frontcourt on this game, as Philadelphia is playing with Brand and Hawes and they are a poor Post Up defense by allowing 1.30 PPP. This kind of play is highly used by Utah, as it is used in 17.5% of their ball possessions, so the Jazz will also be able to score comfortably tonight, especially as Paul Millsap is starting for them tonight!
I expect both teams to easily put some points on the board tonight, as their favourite type of plays on offense are exactly the kind of plays which makes the defense of their tonight's opponents struggle! Therefore, I have a projection of 195 points for this contest and so, I'll take the over in here.
