NBA Premium Play 12/28: Utah Jazz @ Denver Nuggets

NBA - 715 Utah Jazz @ 716 Denver Nuggets

Projected line: Denver by 15 points

So, the Utah Jazz were outrunned and outgunned by a veteran team who was playing their 3rd game in three nights? Man, they looked really bad! I've referred on my play with the Lakers that the Jazz has a struggling perimeter game who can't put pressure on the slow footed players of the Lakers and defensively, I watched Derek Fisher running quicker than Gordon Hayward on a play! Already in the preseason, I watched the first quarter of Utah against Portland and the first unit of the Blazers completely ran away from the Jazz, with a 32-19 score! Al Jefferson isn't currently in a good physical form and he was horrible yesterday by shooting 2-16 FG, including 0-9 FG at the rim - pathetic! Supposedly, Utah's frontcourt is good, but they shot 17-36 FG at the rim yesterday - 47.3% FG! For today, the scenario for them isn't better and I consider this specific spot to be one of the worst on the NBA: a team that played a West coast game and then has a back to back game at Denver! Not only because they have less time to rest or the fact that they will play in thin air. The main problem is really on the horrible matchup that Denver will proportionate to them.

Like I've previously said, Denver is one of the teams in better physical form right now. I took them at +4 & ML at Dallas and they simply ran away of the Mavs since the beginning of the game. They have a good second unit, so don't be surprised if the Nuggets take over the game with the 2nd unit running the show. Denver scored 20 fast break points + 34 FT attempts and 26 points off turnovers against Dallas and they aggressiveness will punish the Jazz tonight.

This is the Nuggets home opener and so, they will be excited. This team with the current system knows how to crush a team who is coming to Denver on a b2b spot. Just look for the score of those teams who played at Denver on the 2nd night of a b2b after the allstar break last season: 135-111 vs GSW; 131-101 vs DET; 104-90 vs SAC; 123-90 vs TOR; 100-90 vs ATL! I expect a blowout win for the Nuggets tonight by at least 15 points and that's why I'm taking them tonight!

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 716 Denver Nuggets (-12) @ -110 / 1.91 on 5 Dimes
