NBA Premium Play 12/27: Sacramento Kings @ Portland Trailblazers

NBA - 507 Sacramento Kings @ 508 Portland Trailblazers

Projected line: 191 points | Portland by 12 points

Yesterday Sacramento had a brilliant home debut against the Lakers and they destroyed their opponent's defense in the way that I've described in my SAC/LAL recap article earlier today. However, I don't expect the same thing to happen today against Portland! I was expecting the Kings to have problems with turnovers yesterday, but that didn't happen as the Lakers defense was just too passive. Therefore, Sacramento didn't struggle with their ball handling at all and committed just 12 turnovers during the game. However, this time really has the tendency of committing a lot of turnovers and in the preseason against an aggressive team in pressuring the ball like GSW, Sacramento committed 19 and 27 turnovers! And today they will simply face one of the best defensive teams in this specific aspect of the game! Sacramento is coming from facing the veterans Fisher, Kobe and World Peace and now they'll go head to head with Wallace, Felton, Batum and Matthews, four young and athletic players! Note that also last night, Philadelphia committed 20 turnovers in which resulted in 28 points off turnovers in favor of Portland and 15 fast break points! And we're talking about the Sixers, one of the best teams in terms of ball handling in the previous season, having even been #1 in the league in TOR/rate with 12.28%! So, we can count on Sacramento to commit a lot of turnovers tonight!

Another important edge for the Blazers tonight will be on offensive rebounds. Portland is traditionally a top offensive rebounding team and already yesterday, on their first game of the season, they grabbed 17 offensive boards! In the same night, the Kings allowed the Lakers to grab 16 off boards! I watched the game between the Blazers and the Sixers and it was a well played game between two good teams, but where Portland should have covered the -4 spread that we took on that game, as they had a double digits lead down the stretch, but four straight treys from Philadelphia made the game look very close when it really wasn't. With Sacramento's offense being shut down by the athletic defense of Portland, I expect the Blazers to control this game comfortably and considering their second unit isn't good, some periods of ugly basketball are expected during this game. Therefore, looking at the matchup presented by these two teams, I'll be taking both Portland and the under on this game.

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 507/508 Under 196 @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker

Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 508 Portland Trailblazers (-8,5) @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker
