NBA Premium Play 12/05: Portland Trailblazers @ Indiana Pacers

NBA - 501 Portland Trailblazers @ 502 Indiana Pacers

Projected Line: 190 points

Indiana is coming from a tough physical game at Chicago, where both interior defenses played really well. Today, the Pacers will face one of the worst interior defenses in the league. I've already mentioned several times this season that Portland really struggles on defense at both the Center and the PG position and the Pacers have Roy Hibbert and George Hill in those positions. Hill has been playing very well right now, while Hibbert is struggling since the start of the season, however as Portland is ranked #21 in post up defense and they are allowing 65.7% FG at the rim, Indiana will have a good spot to score points down low with Roy Hibbert and David West. Portland's defense is also just #29 in transition defense, so the Pacers will have a lot of chances to score some easy points tonight.

Portland's offense is coming from a well defined gameplan for this contest, as their coach Terry Stotts says he wants his team to play uptempo against Pacers tonight. The Blazers are a jump shooting team and their main weapon is the pick and rolls from their rookie PG Damian Lillard. Indiana is just #28 in pick and roll ball handler defense with 0.89 PPP, so the Blazers have a good offensive matchup in tonight's game. Unlike yesterday where Chicago had their key edge on their frontcourt offense, but the Pacers were able to stop them with their great interior defense, Portland will be able to expose Indiana's defensive struggles on pick and rolls tonight. I believe this game will be relatively fast paced, with both teams having a good offensive matchup tonight, therefore I'll be taking the Over in here.
