The Lakers are on a deep crisis and they are coming from another loss last night, this time against the Knicks. Their offense was a disaster, with Kobe Bryant being brilliant with some great tough shots, but then he just couldn't keep up with the pace. The Lakers ended the game with 37 treys attempted, while just 22 shot attempts at the rim! The Knicks took advantage of the Lakers' lack of defensive organization to make some treys, with Carmelo Anthony dominating until he got injured.
They will now played at Washington, on a tough spot for both teams. The Wizards had back to back games at New Orleans and at Washington and they are returning home to face the Lakers with just one day off. The Lakers having been using a lot their starters, with Kobe Bryant playing 44 minutes yesterday and Dwight Howard 38 minutes. This isn't a good physical spot, especially for Kobe Bryant (who had back spasms yesterday) and the team's offense completely depends on him. The LA team keeps attempting a lot of contest shots and their offense won't surely improve tonight. On the other hand, Washington don't have the Knicks' offense or a player like Kyrie Irving to torch the Lakers' defense, so I believe the Wizards will also struggle a bit on offense tonight. I expect a low scoring game and so, I'll be taking the Under in here.
