NBA - 705 Cleveland Cavaliers @ 706 Indiana Pacers
Projected Line: 192 points
Cleveland is coming from a great home win against the Lakers, with a great first half from Kyrie Irving and C.J. Miles. The Cavaliers in great in pounding the Lakers' poor transition defense, they had good pick and roll numbers and they were also excellent on spot ups with 11-24 FG! The Lakers showed no offensive flow, it was just Kobe Bryant against the world! They ended the game with just 11 assists, while taking well advantage of the Cavaliers' poor pick and roll defense, but without using Dwight Howard on offense, as the Lakers shot just 8-17 FG at the rim!
Cleveland will now play at Indiana tonight and their offense will once again depend from what Kyrie Irving can do. The Cavaliers' offense is based on pick and rolls, spot ups and transitions and they will now face a Pacers' defense that is #29 on pick and rolls ball handler defense, #1 on spot up defense and #1 on transition defense. Indiana is a top defensive rebounding team, so Cleveland won't grab a lot of offensive rebounds tonight. However, the Cavaliers will have a decent edge on pick and rolls to have a decent offensive game in here.
On the other hand, Indiana will have a huge frontcourt edge against the Cavaliers' poor interior defense. Cleveland is #22 on post up defense and #28 on transition defense, so Indiana has an excellent spot to have a huge offensive game in here. I believe Indiana will absolutely pound the Cavs' defense, while Cleveland should hang a bit in there on offense with Kyrie Irving and his pick and rolls. I believe on a high scoring game in here, so I'll be taking the Over on this contest.
