NBA Premium Play 12/11: Los Angeles Clippers @ Chicago Bulls

NBA - 509 Los Angeles Clippers @ 510 Chicago Bulls

Projected Lines: 194 points | pk line

This is a revenge game for the Bulls, who got crushed earlier on the season at LA against the Clippers. Chicago had a clear loss because the Clippers crushed them on transitions, while forcing a lot of turnovers to the Bulls that resulted in 20 points off turnovers to the LA team. Then, the Bulls couldn't score near the basket with 13-31 FG at the rim! The Clippers ended the game with 26 fast break points and 11-14 FG on transition, while they weren't effective on the outside with just 8-21 FG from 16-23 feet and 5-16 from 3pts, while shooting just 4-15 FG on spot up plays. The Clippers also had a clear edge on the second unit, while Blake Griffin had a great game with 11-18 FG, 26 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists.

The Clippers had recently an easy schedule, as they faced Sacramento, Utah, Dallas, Phoenix and Toronto on their last five games. Phoenix is #29 on defensive rates, Toronto is #26, Utah is #20, Dallas is #16 and Sacramento is #23, so the Clippers didn't have any problems in pounding them on offense. They will now face the Bulls, who are #1 on defensive rates, so they will have a tougher challenge this time. The key for these recent easy wins for the Clippers has been their aggressive defenses that forces turnovers, while they are also grabbing a lot of offensive rebounds. They are also shooting 74% FG at the rim and with the Bulls being just #29 on transition defense and #15 on pick and roll ball handler defense, I believe the Bulls will struggle on defense tonight to limit the Clippers' great offense. Chicago has no answer on defense for Blake Griffin and Chris Paul, so these two players should have a good offensive game tonight.

However, I expect Chicago to also have a great offensive game in here as well. The Clippers are just #26 on defensive rebounding and their rim defense is also not good. Chicago's frontcourt with Joakim Noah and Carlos Boozer will surely get the upperhand over a Clippers' frontcourt that has a very low defensive IQ, therefore I expect the Bulls to get revenge from their terrible frontcourt offensive game at LA and pound the Clippers down low tonight. Joakim Noah's great passing skills will also help the Bulls' shooters to get some open space to shoot well tonight and suddenly, Chicago will be a very tough matchup for the Clippers' defense tonight.

I expect a very good offensive game in here, with Chicago making a huge effort to get revenge over their loss at LA earlier on the season and therefore, I'll be taking both Chicago and the Over in here.
