Detroit at Philadelphia |
NBA - 701 Detroit Pistons @ 702 Philadelphia 76ers Projected Line: 190 points This is a revenge game for Philadelphia, as they got crushed at home against the Pistons one month ago. In that game, Evan Turner shot 1-6 FG, Jrue Holiday 4-13 FG and Jason Richardson 3-12 FG on a combined effort of 8-31 (25.8%) FG! With them coming fired up for this game, I expect these three players to have a big game tonight. Detroit is coming from a game at Cleveland, where they allowed 97 points to the struggling Cavaliers. Jeremy Pargo shot 10-18 FG, while Cleveland shot 6-11 FG on pick and roll ball handler plays and 7-12 FG on cuts. This shows that the Pistons didn't defend well Cleveland's guards, while they also didn't have a good team help defense. Philadelphia is a top team in avoiding their opponents to shoot from down low, but when they allow it, they are a poor interior defensive team with 64% FG allowed this season at the rim and 70% FG allowed over the last 10 games. Not only the Pistons have a good frontcourt player in Greg Monroe, as Brandon Knight and Rodney Stuckey are penetrating well to the basket lately, so I expect Detroit to have a good offensive game in here. I expect both teams to have a good offensive game tonight, turning this game into a high scoring contest. Therefore, I'll be taking the Over in here.
