San Antonio is coming from an easy home win against Houston, where their bench played very well with 59 points! The Spurs scored 114 points, while dishing 33 assists for another great offensive game for them. They shot 25-33 FG at the rim, but they struggled at the 3pts line with just 6-20 3pts! They shot 10-18 FG on transitions, 9-11 FG on cuts, 12-27 FG on spot ups and 6-9 FG on pick and roll ball handler!
They will now face a Bobcats' defense that struggled on the perimeter and they get easily confused on their defensive rotations, so San Antonio with their great ball movement will crush them on offense. The Bobcats' defense is #7 on pick and roll ball handler, #23 on pick and roll roll man, #20 on spot ups, #8 on cuts, #11 on transition defense, #17 on rim defense and #16 on 3pts% allowed, so I don't believe they will stop the great Spurs offense tonight. Charlotte got crushed down low yesterday at Milwaukee, as they grabbed just 43% of the boards, while the Bucks had 23 offensive rebounds. Milwaukee attempted 39 shots at the rim, but they weren't very effective with just 21-39 FG!
The Bobcats attacked in transition with 21 fast break points and 10-16 FG on transitions. Their main offensive problem was really the rebounds and their terrible free throw shooting with just 18-32 FT! San Antonio is #21 on pick and roll ball handler defense and #16 on transition defense, so Charlotte should be able to have a decent offensive game tonight. However, that won't be enough for them to hang with the Spurs on the scoreboard, as San Antonio will have another huge offensive game. Therefore, I'll be taking the Spurs in here.
