| Washington at Atlanta |
NBA - 805 Washington Wizards @ 806 Atlanta Hawks Projected Line: 195 points Atlanta is coming from an ESPN game against Denver last Wednesday, while they will play at Memphis tomorrow, so this is a relaxing spot for them tonight. It's tough to know what Atlanta's mindset will be in here, but I believe their offense will have a clear edge over the Wizards' defense. Atlanta was very good on offense over their last five games (106.10, 111.18, 108.08, 122.90 and 114.38 offensive ratings), with a lot of fast break points and with Al Horford leading the team down low. Josh Smith has also been more assertive and they have improved in almost every area of their offense: pick and roll ball handler, spot ups and cuts! Trevor Ariza is out for tonight and with that, Washington's defense gets clearly worse. They are very turnover prone when they are under pressure and the Hawks is great at pressuring the ball handler, so they will score a lot of transition points tonight. On the last game between these two teams, Washington passed well the ball to score via cuts, while Atlanta struggled on the defensive rotations and they were just poor on contesting the Wizards' mid-range shots. I think the Hawks won't have problems in scoring against the Wizards tonight, so the key of this game will be Washington's offense. They are coming from a season high on offensive rating (114.22) against Miami, where they dished 31 assists! They were very well on cuts (8-13 FG) and also on pick and rolls. Washington won't have problems in taking advantage of their cuts once again tonight, as Atlanta is just #26 on defending cuts. We are in front of two improved offenses lately, while this game should be played on a relatively fast pace. Therefore, I expect a high scoring game in here and so, I'll be taking the Over on this game. Pick: 3 units (Single Dime Play) on 805/806 Over 191,5 @ -110 / 1.91 on Bookmaker |
