But the Jazz will have a tough matchup tonight against the Clippers' guards led by Chris Paul. Derrick Favors' absence is a huge blow to Utah's defense and with the Jazz being just #26 on defending pick and roll ball handler plays and #28 in defending spot ups, the Clippers' offense has just too much offense for the poor Jazz defense to handle them tonight. The Clippers have been struggling against teams that shoot well from the outside, as their frontcourt isn't good in closing outs and in defensive rotations. This is why New Orleans for example pounded them, with Ryan Anderson having a big game. However, Utah's offense is based around post ups from their frontcourt and the Clippers' interior defense is good by being #3 in the league in points in the paint allowed with 37.1 ppg.
