Chicago is really struggling without their best perimeter player Prince. They are still a good defensive team behind Sylvia Fowles but their offense is just too predictable right now: kept the ball off Fowles’ hands and you’ll be fine. In their L3 games they have committed 20, 27 and 22 turnovers and in 2 of their L8 games they didn't even reach the century mark in offensive efficiency ratings according to my numbers.
Connecticut is red hot with 4 consecutive wins and they feature a great frontcourt duo with Asjha Jones and Tina Charles. These two players are coming from big games against Washington in which they scored 22 and 17 points but tonight I expect them to struggle a bit because they will face Fowles. Chicago also has Ruth Riley who despite being almost worthless on the offensive end, she is a good defensive player so Chicago has the tools to slow down Connecticut’s low post players.
I expect Chicago to dictate the pace and tempo of the game so we should be dealing with a slow paced contest. My line for this contest is 145/147 points so in my opinion we have some edge with the Under in here.
