It clearly looks like Lincecum is back to a great level. He was having poor numbers on both change ups and sliders, but then in the last two starts, he was really impressive in both kinds of pitches. In fact, he has a career number of +1.07 wSL/C and after a poor start that makes him average -2.04 wSL/C, he had -0.09 and +1.02 on his last two starts! Also on change ups, Lincecum had a career number of +1.81 wCH/C, while he has been averaging -1.06 wCH/C for the season, but on the last two starts he had +6.28 and +5.71 on this specific stat. He will now face a Nationals offense who have hitting very well over the last 30 days excluding... sliders and change ups, where they had -1.00 wSL/C and -1.63 wCH/C! Therefore, I believe Lincecum will have another quality outing today.

On the other hand, Zimmerman has been also at a good level with his fast ball and slider pitches and I wouldn't be surprised if he is capable of dominate most of the Giants' hitters with his slider, as San Francisco tends to struggle against this kind of pitch. However, looking at the current odds and especially looking at the fact that I expect Lincecum to completely dominate the Nationals today, I'll be taking San Francisco as the underdog today. Considering I expect both starting pitchers to have good performances today, I'll also take the Under.
